ENGLISH LANGUAGE – (ESOL) English for speakers of other languages
For people whose level of English is below Entry Level 3 (B1) and who wish to progress to Entry level 3 (B1) in order to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain or full Naturalisation.
The learner should complete and achieve an accredited ESOL Skills for Life Speaking and Listening unit at Entry 3 (B1) and also undertake the ‘ The Life in the UK Citizenship Test’.

Learners will be required to take The Life in the UK Citizenship test and also complete the English Entry level 3 (B1) unit.
All our English ESOL provision meets these strict Home Office criteria and is accredited by the National Open College Network.
DEMRP’s Learning for all centre is an accredited college under the criteria laid down by the Home Office.
ENGLISH (ESOL) Course Entry Requirements
All learners will need to provide DEMRP with Identification documents (passport / travel documents), complete an application form, undertake an interview and initial assessment prior to enrolling. For continuing students re-enrolling arrangements can be made via your course tutor.
ENGLISH -ESOL classes are delivered twice weekly, Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 4.30pm (unless organised to meet learners demand) and last a minimum of 10 weeks. The learner is expected to attend for 100 hours over this time, the course day and exact times will vary with demand. If you have language difficulties, our bilingual staff and volunteers may be able to assist you with any questions regarding these courses.
We also offer ‘Conversational English’, short ‘English’ ESOL taster sessions and ‘Life in the UK Test Preparation courses who do not wish to commit themselves to a full course yet . We provide basic ICT computer classes for people who do not know how to use a computer .
